For Rs 800, an English speaking driver from Patna Sahib Transport Corp. will meet you at the exit of the arrivals hall in Delhi with you name on a placard. (Yes, he'll be there if you're plane is delayed. Yes, he expects you'll need to change money before you leave the arrivals hall.) He'll help you load your luggage in to a Ambassador or Tata Indica and take you to the hotel of YOUR choice. (No, that's not per person. It's per car.) There is no night time surcharge, no extra charge for luggage

Indira Gandhi International Airport Delhi Information and help desks : There are three tourist information counters in domestic Arrivals and one in international Arrivals; counters are located in the baggage claim areas. A 'May I Help You' counter for the assistance of international travellers is located in the Arrivals hall after customs clearance and there are signs in the international and domestic Terminals to help guide passengers.


Airport Facilities : Banks and authorised currency exchange facilities are available 24 hours a day at the international Terminal and 0600-2000 at the domestic Terminal. The airport has a post office in each Terminal (as well as post boxes in prominent locations), a pharmacy located in the international Terminal (Departures) and a medical unit in both Terminals manned by a doctor round the clock. There are snack bars, a restaurant, and duty-free shops at the Arrivals and Departures lounges.

Disabled Facilities : Physically accessible toilets as well as ambulift facilities for disabled travellers are available. There is a special parking area for disabled travellers.

Business Facilities : A Business Centre is in Terminal IA (Indian Airlines and Alliance Airlines Departures). Facilities include secretarial services, catering, photocopying and telephones; the holders of credit cards issued by certain approved banks can use the business centre for free.

Car Rental : Available at domestic Arrivals and international Arrivals outside the customs hall; no facility for hiring self-drive cars is available at the airport (self-drive cars are not generally available in India).

Airport Hotels: Centaur Hotel is on-site. Delhi hotels include Best Western, Hyatt Regency, Le Meridien, New Delhi Hilton and Maurya Sheraton.
